injector pipes

Hello all,

Just been looking under the bonnet (a good thing to do once in a while

)

I noticed that on the fourth injector (ie the one nearest the bulkhead) had no pipe on the return. The main injector pipe is there of course else it wouldnt work. There is a return pipe running all along the injectors one to the other and back to the pump. Looks like PVC tube. I have found a pipe that looks like it should go on there but its way too short to reach.

What is it?
Should I be concerned?

The back one is actually blanked off, the pipe you're talking about, that is too short, is a breathing pipe for the transfer box or the gearbox.

Ah I see. Its headed down that way and kind of hooked over at the top. There is a pipe sticking out of the injector base about 1/8" in diameter and I assumed the hooked over pipe should be on that. So the return to tank is on the pump and not on the injectors?

Yes, the return is on the pump. It does look a bit stupid on that last injector.

Thanks. I never noticed how it was set up before and it just didnt look right.
