Injector light on after blip

If you blip the throttle on the rangy (2.5TD) it seems to rev quite high, but on the way down, the injector light comes on briefly and the engine revs drop very low.

It ticks over a little lumpy but seems to rev up ok. Can't take the car on the road as it's SORN.

Any ideas please, i don't have access to a diag tool to plug in.

CPS sensor i would think. You WILL need diag to find out properly though.

Yes but whatever you do IF you take a look at it DO NOT unbolt or remove the bracket it attaches to. Remove the sensor from the bracket by all means but DO NOT unbolt or remove the bracket itself. Or you are in for a world of pain. Special tool need to re locate bracket. Diag would be best way forwards before you start playing with it.
