Hi,
I tried to remove the injector pump from my 2005 Freelander TD4 today, but got a bit stuck trying to slacken the sprocket nut.
I can turn the nut, but it rotates the sprocket, timing chain, aux drive belt etc, basically turning the engine over. Has anyone else encountered this? I have an auto box, which was left in park when the engine was turned off, but I'm guessing the gear isn't engaged if I can turn the engine. If this is the case, how do I put it in gear without starting the engine?
Thanks

I got it loose by tapping the wrench with a hammer - inertia kept the engine still and allowed the nut to loosen.
Case closed.
I've taken a few pics of the removal process in case anyone is interested.
