Indicators !!

Can anyone help, when i indicate,all 4 indicators come on, but flashes the towing light instead of the indicator light on the panel,fitted a new relay,removed the towing socket,fitted a new stalk, fitted a new hazard switch,now at a loss , what else is there...

Wiring damaged somewhere. Chase it through.

what did you do with the wiring when you removed the towing socket..
the trailer light on the dash should only flash when connected to a trailer to show that that its working.have you chaffed any wires there??

The trailer light is flashed when the relay senses more load than 2 bulbs, or 2 bulbs + repeater. Therefore, if its lighting up all 4 bulbs, then it will have a higher load so the light will come on.

If you unplug the hazard switch and indicate, what happens? They should still work normally, just they wont go off with the ignition.

I think you are jus gonna have to chase wires back.

Does your LR have an alarm?

I just connected them back up as they were with new connector blocks to each one,that was the confusing part,why the trailer light flashes when there is no socket fitted ?

will try the hazard switch idea,when i put in a new hazard switch it worked fine for a week or so, the LR has an alarm,but it is disconnected and was when i bought it,however it did cause me a problem once when it affected the starter motor, it caused it to stick on.

Even if it has been disarmed, it may still be connected up. Search for oil drippers thread, it was that that buggrayed his indicators.

First though, try the hazard switch, they are bastids. Ive had 5 now.
