Indicators.

Hi All.
The inficators have failed on my 1984 FFR 109. The Hazzard and all other lights are working. Is the problem likely to just be the Stalk.

Do they come on, but not flash? Or not at all.

Not at all. All working on Hazzard Button.

Stalk is your next thing then.

Have a look at yours, you can check the contacts easy enough with the cover off.

The indicator contacts are a copper stud, which is touched by a stiff wire to complete the circuit. The wire might be bent or most likely the stud is dirty. Rub down the studs and make sure the wire makes good contact. Your original stalk will be far higher quality than a new one, best to clean that than buy 'blue box' new...

On my 109 there is a seperate flasher unit for the hazards. It could be that your indicater flasher unit has packed up but the hazard one is still ok. Mine is a.1977 so might be different.
