Hey,

I've done a bit of a search but haven't hit the jack pot in the results.

My 1999 Defender has got a bit of a character trait in that it cancels the indicators just fine if I turn left, but not when I turn right. Making me look like a total knob socket sometimes, cruising down the straight road indicating.

Anyone know what might be wrong?
On a 1967 Transit there was this cam on the steering column that flicked the indicator stalk to the off position that had broken and I fixed that with a bit of glue and a zip-tie.
Could this be something similar?
Or is it like the Discos? http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f8/indicators-dont-cancel-200334.html

Thanks!

If you take the steering wheel off you should see the (usually blue) indicator cancelling ring. It may just need to be turned round and reset to centre is all

yes your a lazy get and don't flick the switch off!!! next thing you will want automatic wipers lights and heaters in your landy. Does your front room light turn off when you leave the room?

Oh, no. I wouldn't dream of that. What purpose in life would Jeeves have if he was not turning the wipers on and off when we go for a wet drive around the estate. And as for a heater, who would heat the rocks that Jeeves puts on my seat before we head off..? Tut-tut-tut!

...when we go for a wet drive around the estate....

this sentence disturbs me, going for a wet drive
