Indicators Fail again

Hi

The cold weather has come and now the indicators on my series 2A have failed though not my headlights! Anybody got any ideas what I can do?

wet and damp weather can cause power surge on inside of light and wipe out the 4 way flasher or a blown fuse or the bulbs circuit tester is what you need or a 12volt power probe ideal and the best 2 tools you can buy for classic vehicles

Thanks for that I'll follow the advise, got in it last night and they worked again!

My S3 used to do this ... all earth straps looked good, but we undid them anyway and replaced them. Once off the old earth straps were, in fact, useless. They'd corroded internally and at the connection points, galvanic corrosion getting between contact points and earthing out ...

So, replaced earth strap and added a couple of others, body to chassis, chassis to engine, battery to chassis ... ALL with clean connections, clean washers, clean nuts and bolts, then smeared (oo-er missus), well, liberally coated, in silicone sealer.

Never had an electrical issue again with that one ...

flashers. reminds me of a joke i once listened too but some how it might go down like the titanic in here, now you see me now you dont how long can you leave the flasher going do they stop after about 30 secs or stay on if they go off after approx 30 secs the flasher unit is naff
