Hi,
Does anyone know off hand, how the wires are attached to the indicator stalk? In particular, the light green/brown wire from the flasher unit to the common terminal of the indicator switch?
The wire seems to have broken off on mine, and as far as I can see (without removing the stalk), the ring on the end of the light green/brown wire is riveted to the stalk body - although it also feels loose. Is this normal, and is there an easy way to fix this?
I'm currently thinking about just trying to solder a wire back onto the tag in-situ, but I'm nervous of melting the body...
On a related topic, does anyone have any documents on how/where the wiring looms are supposed to be routed over the chassis? I'm fitting brand new looms in my rebuild, but I'm struggling to work out exactly where the branches are supposed to be routed in the engine bay, particularly avoiding the steering links. Maybe it will be more obvious when I refit the body panels, but I was hoping to get as much of the cable in before the body goes back on again. I did take photos before I pulled the old one apart, but they aren't quite as clear as I though they were when I took them. Doh!
