Hi all
My landy just failed the mot because when you put the indicator on the other side flashes a little bit! Any ideas I’ve checked the wires and all as the drawing, but I’m new to this so and help will be greatly received

Earth faults are difficult to track down unfortunately and are just a lot of methodical tracing and cleaning. I would go though and clean the earth for each light and the earth for the flasher and hazard relays and see if that improves things.

Thank you, busy Christmas then lol

Are you using led's? There is a current bleed at the warning lamp on the dash, also the hazards may be able to cause this, a faulty hazard switch perhaps. Id be dubious that an earth is causing it but Id probably still start there anyway.

Yes the landy has LEDs but I didn’t install them. Might be worth buying a new hazard switch then as well?

If you have LED's fitted that is a very different issue. As @nobber has said it will be a bleed through form the dash panel warning light. It is a very common problem and seems not all LED indicator relays work as they are supposed to. From what I have picked up from other LED indicator threads changing the relay for one of the better quality LED flasher relays tends to solve the problem. It might be worth having a search on the forum for LED indicators, there are lots of threads about the issues that come with them if they are not installed correctly with the correct parts. It is on my list of things to do to mine as I rebuild it but for now I am keeping the indicators original and just changing everything else to LED.

LED's change everything ..... It'll be the green lamp that flashes on the dash .... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283630040556

I found this, for me anyway, was poor. It solved the flashing issue, but the LED warning light was too dim to be useful. I also ran all new earths for everything - I still got the crossover flashing.
So in the end I put a 20 Ohm, 20Watt, Ceramic resistor on each side circuit, installed in the RHS rear (since that has wiring for both sides in it) : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265132275815?var=565013098487
Job Jobbed.

Thank you, well hopefully when it arrives I will see what happens. The earths all look good to be fair. But will see once this part is put on.
