Indicator and lights problems

Anyone had problems with when they put the lights on the left hand indicators stay on permantely but not flashing. When i put the left hand indicator on and no lights on all the front lights and rear lights flash!

Had a quick check on earths etc and nothing obvious

Any thoughts gents it is a 200 tdi defender on a 92 plate

I had a similar problem. I found the fault by going to back of truck just behind rear cross member on off side where wire bundle exits chassis i pushed and pulled bundle in and out which would fix problem, it showed me that 2 wires had worn through inside chassis and were earthing, i replaced wires, no easy way to do it i cut bundle and pulled it through and replaced faulty wires, then pulled bundle back through and then reconnected all wires.
