Hi All
I’m a new member to Landy Zone
I have an L322 TDI 6 2004 vogue,
I have a message on screen saying air suspension inactive, I did browse the internet and you tube but got nowhere.

I decided to do some examination myself and found the the Off side height sensor had detached itself from the bottom ball joint arm and the sensor body was cracked, then I checked the near side sensor and body was also cracked.
I replaced these two sensors yesterday and I still have the same reading air suspension inactive.
Also the front of the car is slightly lower than the back.
Has anybody got any hints to point me in the right direction
I have a professional Launch 123 code reader which tells me there are no active alarms on the car.

Suspension will probably need calibrating. Most code readers will not read L322 codes, so it may also need codes clearing. Have you tried the steering lock to lock reset?

Hi
I done the steering lock nothing happened, my code reader is mainly for Land Rover it has cleared codes before, anybody know what the cost is to get suspension re calibrated

Hi
It’s been a bit of a trial this one, what I did not say was it’s a can bus error, when I found the two damaged sensors I thought right that’s it water ingress into the sensors giving corrupt data but no still there, I have found tonight that the near side rear us a bit dodgy sir ordered the rear two sensors.
I checked mr diagnostic reader and emailed the supplier and it is compatible to read all codes with RR.
See what happens when I replace the rear sensors.
Does any body know what other faults could cause a can bus errors other than height sensors.

You guys have a wealth of information I just need to find the bit that’s relative to me at the mo.
I feel like screaming sometimes do you think they over complicated these cars with under engineer parts

I have designed a Wheel height level sensor Using similar to a blue tooth signal
It’s quite simple no moving parts it works on a digital level sensor to a basic receiver that’s it
But the problem starts trying to interface with the iris it no luck so far

Then you can calibrat

I applaud your inginuity but to say that RR's are over complicated and then design something that's even more complicated ?
A variable resistor that can last over 10 years I would say is not an issue.

How many times have you had the can bus error?

No resistor it’s a linear chip £4.70 if you now where to look
I have a friend with a phd in electronics he is working on it
He is actually one of the team who designed the heads up display for the weapon system on the typhoon Euro fighter
I have had the fault for a while now, see what happens when I replace rear sensors

Sorry, took a few minutes to find my hacksaw. So that's what a linear chip looks like.

It’s a lot smaller than that perhaps 4mm square,

the fault just say can bus which I think you know covers the whole system if one data packet is interrupted you get this quite a hard one to find.
The rear sensors should be here Monday or Tuesday I’ll see what happens.
