Inactive Air Suspension post car lift

Hello,

I have a 2002 Range Rover Vogue.

Whilst investigating an intermittent deep humming noise which only happens between 30-50mph, the air suspension decides to in-activate itself.

I had the car raised by a car lift to see if I could replicate this deep humming noise, but this caused the air suspension to de-activate. The lights on the suspension control module have also stopped working.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can re-set this?

Whoops, it is a 2002 L322 Vogue

If anyone cares, it was a very simple case of going to Land Rover specialist I use where they cleared the fault codes using a computer module, the suspension was back working within a minute. Hooray.

Apparently when raising the L322 on a lift the air suspension automatically switchers off and should turn back on once lowered to the ground, but not in this instance.

Did you find out the cause of that deep humming? Very likely to be the Torque Converter - There's an awful lot on this forum about this very common problem

Thank you for asking, I temporarily gave up to be honest because it is so tempermental (but bloody winds me up). I have established that it only happens whilst I am accelarating as it it doesn't happen whilst I am running on cruise control. How ever there is no immediate change if I put my foot down. I haven't had anyone suggest the Torque Convertor yet. I shall need to investigate that. Thank you for the lead.

I thought you may be interested to know, that the deep humming, vibration, juddering noise was coming from the torque convertor. I found a great experienced guy at Birch Motors 4x4 in Liverpool. He refurbished the gear box and replaced the torque convertor for £1350 his standard price. Amazing job, the car is running like a dream.
