Immobilizer

Hi I have just joined. Im 65yrs old female, I live in the Rhondda South Wales Britain. I got a 1998 Range p38 rover last week. On the way home from buying it the windscreen wipers packed up. So its been parked up awaiting parts. I was going to run it today while it was dry and it would not turn over. I have no immobilizer code. the keys are not to good/worn. I spent all my saving on this old car. Can the immobilizer be taken of or disconnected. Im at my wits end. Within 6 day my life has become a nightmare. What should I do. I want it fixed I dont want to get rid of it. Is there any help,?

Im trying Im always conned with cars, always. But it was running so well. I dont do cars. But I cant even get it to a garage if it dont start,??
