immobiliser

The immobilisation on 2001MY on only prevents the starter from operating reading through the manuals.

There's a yellow and red wire on pin 52 of the engine ECU connector which carries the immob signal so you'll have to get an oscilloscope ideally to monitor this and see if the immobiliser is outputting a signal

It also relies on a Park or Neutral input from the gearbox to allow starting.

Ideally needs plugging in to some decent diagnostic equipment to work out what's working or not in the eyes of the car!

I was going to say that if you disconnect the wire from CCU to starter motor relay (at relay) and connect it to a known live feed with a bulb - the bulb will light if the immobiliser is off - because the CCU is enabling the earth/ground. If the immobiliser was on then the bulb would not light as the earth is disabled.

HOWEVER - Rave says not to use bulb circuit tests when testing CCU/ECUs etc - but I'm not sure what method it says to use.
