Hi new member here, have recently bought a 2.5td range rover x reg, i bought a new battery for it but ave put it in and now the immobiliser has kicked in and cant get it off any ideas, the wee red flashing light on dash has stopped as well

Hi Ellie Belle.

You may be better also asking your question in the Range Rover section.
On a discovery we use the EKA, Emergency Key Access code.

Cheers

You need to input the EKA code or press the fob if it is synced, but you may have lost that if you did not disconnect the battery properly. If fob has lost sync it cannot be re-synced until the EKA code has been accepted. When you disconnect the battery on these you must slacken, but do not remove negative terminal. Then switch ignition on and then off and disconnect negative lead within 17 seconds. Before alarm sets. EKA code should be written in your driver documents. If not you will have to ring or go to a dealer with VIN number to get it. Instructions of how to input it are in your owners manual.
