had my series three for a couple of years now and loving it of course . Done some greenlaning and fitted a roof rack . Best thing I've ever owned .. Swapped it for my old Porsche Boxter that was totally knackered having been left out in the elements for years .. The ecu was totally weirded out - the horn would sound as you depressed the brake - anyway turned out I'd reduced its value to about a grand so some dealer up the road did me a straight swap for this duck egg blue short series 3 with overdrive , free wheedling hubs , a diesel engine and solid wax oiled underpants . Sounds like a good deal I hear you cry but then I discovered the dealer sold my Boxter the next day to a Frenchman for about 5k !! Never mind ... onwards and upwards . I love my series 3 - I call it Big Daddy and wouldn't be without it . Faultless motoring has been enjoyed for the two Years or so I've been with big daddy but just lately the clutch pedal has gone spongey , the gear sometimes doesn't disengage when the pedal is down ( so when stationary I have to brake because I'm still in gear !) and sometimes I have to pump the pedal to change gears when on the move . I've been told it may be a hydrolic issue - ie old bad fluid or a lack thereof - am I in the right place to ask any of you guys what you think ? I've checked and although full the fluid looks pretty murky . If I'm going the bleed the clutch myself am I mad ? And if not where the f@@k is the nipple - finding nipples is usually fun but not in this case it seems - all comments gratefully received or redirection to a place on this site for more info - thanks for listening , kind regards Stephen ( clunkjudder)
