Im getting wet !!!

I have this feckin annoying leak everytime i go around a corner in my defender.

It happens when it is raining, it pores in through the top of both front doors.

Were the hell is this coming in from ?
(no smart answers i mean the leak not the rain)

Now all you need to do is ask yoself how to fix it. :doh:

Sound's like mine. Drill a hole in the floor !

Do a search on here for the WaterIngressManual.pdf. Seek and ye shall find the leak. Curing it is another matter. I just get t'other half to wear a raincoat.

Slow and low...... Big Blus Bus is having the front hub seal replaced and siezed caliper fixed and is sat looking folorne on the driveway, a bit like the poor Disco 1 with no floor, wings and engine, and Tabbys 90 (as yet un-named) with no front seats and big holes in the floor and battery tray. The only things running probperly are my commuting bikes.

pretty good, ta. Shout if yu need a hand with anything. Tufftee is coming on slowly. Hopefully now the better weather seems to be here, I can get on a bit faster.

Same here and lighter evenings in 2 weeks time too.
Will need a hand in a month or so to strip the rest of the Disco down and get rid of the body.
Anyone wanna Disco 1 body and chassis? The chassis is completely rust free but the body needs a bit of a buff up.

floor pan mite need odd small patch?

Wings might need re-fitting too.

Welcome to my world -----------it might not be the door seals as my roof channel wells up with water when it rains ( bet yours does too ) and i get soaked too when cornering and braking .
still got to find out where the roof is leaking yet .

Yu fill the q's and a's section with all this useful stuff - and peeps go elsewhere.

Its answered else ware but if you use a combination of “dum-dum” and Sikaflex-291 which is superb for this type of work, fill in above the door seals and make sure you check the roof panel seal (if it’s a hardtop) I have also used some Captain Tollys Creeping Leak Seal around the seals and rear windows and this has fixed that little annoyance as well .
