I'm Back!! RR SPORT tdv8! what a car!

Hi Guys i am back! been a non rr owner for a year or so but now I am back,, Just got myself a tdv rr sport and having owned the older p38 v8 and classics I am amazed at how the tech has gone forward,,, God almighty it goes!!!
now I need to ask,, I have the built in sat nav tv etc on 57 plate,,, how do i get the tv to work when moving so my kids can keep watching it (not me)
the picture goes off but the sound stays on,,, shame,,, also the previous owner says its not dvd,,,, why is this ? is there a way to make it a dvd??

I would think that getting a reliable TV signal on the move would be difficult, picture is always first to go if the signal is weak.
Or could it be that the picture is disabled on the move for legal reasons?

It is but if you have a look at navcoder software you can enable it on the move (something to do with hand brake warning light I think) it will also recode one or two other things as well.

TV on the move where the driver can see it is illegal and fecking stupid.

Totally agree its stupid and illegal,, I certainly dont intend to look at it,, shame my car didn't have the rear screens,,

now does anyone know about the stereos fitted in these I have a 57 reg rr sport hse tdv8, I have the original stereo sat nav tv but it does not show dvd can the sat nav dvd play dvd's or is it just for the sat nav? I also have the phone connection under the arm rest on top of the fridge is there any kind of aftermarket connection that can use this for anything like usb etc? or is there a usb connector i can buy for my existing stereo so i can watch films or play music from a memory stick? can a rev camra be plugged in to this stereo etc too?? I hope you can help

Perhaps , I'm being a tad too logical but Tablets are really cheap these days, so why not watch TV/Films on a tablet.
I do not believe , but may be wrong, that reversing cameras , etc, can be retrofitted to the original system. However, I think there are threads on here somewhere, where people have changed systems completely and also retrofitted reversing cameras but not to the original system. For music on a memory stick, I use an FM sender, some dont like them but I have no issue with the sound quality. Maybe it depends on the FM sender you buy.
I know it's a silly question, but if you wanted one with rear DVD screens, why not just buy one with them?
