OK, previously had a P38, head Gasket etc problems, all sort then sold her.

Well I haven't learnt my lesson as I have just picked up a P38 2.5 Diesel Manual, M reg, got her cheap and know she needs work, so not too worried this time.

I have 2 issues I need you help on:

1 - She will start and tick over then stop, it is believed to be the imobiliser. Is they an easy way to reset / test? (Did have a flat battery)

2 - When she was driven, she had a wine / growl. Dip clutch goes slightly, now I am thinking - Transfer Box / Clutch / Flywheel, any advice will help, but need to get her running first

Start tick over stop does not sound like immobiliser to me, more like in tank pump, fuel filter or electrical problem. First step must be to get the faults read.
 
Thanks, is it possible to download diagnostic software and buy the lead?? (I have this on my Audi)

Due to errors / issues I might need to reset and didn't want to get a garage out??

Check out the offer on here for the FCR (from BlackBoxSolutions) - that will read and clear faults - there is no 'cable' option for a Landrover - if you have a lot of work to do it may be better to invest in the full Faultmate from BBS to do proper adjustments and diagnostics.
