First post here - go easy :)

A couple of weeks ago I had the dreaded "ignition key wont turn" thing on my 2001 Disco 2 (V8 auto). Took the lock barrel off and drove the car using a Mk1 Stanley starter till I got time to fix the barrel. Just refitted the lock and everything seems OK. Except I now have two wiring connector blocks that don't seem to have a home and I cant remember where they came out of. Looking at the manual, I hope they're for the Ignition Key/ Auto Gearbox Interconnect, which is for Japanese Disco's only? But i wasn't sure. Trying to work out how to post a photo but in the meantime, one is 2 wire GB/OW the other has about 5 wires, one OW the others shades or purple. Anyone know for certain?

yeah hunt around the motor and you will find more cables not connected.if your disco is working fine and the ignition barrel is all sorted then dont worry about it.

You're correct, they're for the solenoid interlock nonsense, fitted to Japanese (and NAS, I think  ) markets.

They're not used on UK Spec. vehicles :)
