Ignition key in Warning

Well after reading earlier posts on this subject, mine started doing the same.
So tried the WD40 fix, and it worked, for a short time.
Now its back, and WD40 wont cure it.
So cant lock the dam thing.

If I lock it on the key on the drivers door, will it unlock on the fob?
Given all the issues on EKA codes, and other lock issues I just dont want to try it without advice.
Plus today the lock is frozen solid, so its a good excuse.

Answered my own question. Yes will lock on the key and open on the fob. phew.

Try switch cleaner instead of WD40 which, being oily, can gum eveything up and cause shorting, etc. (Not that I want to worry you). By the way my key lock internal bit is broken so the fob HAS to work.

All locks should only ever be lubricated with a graphite based lubricant. Or Pencil Lead rubbed on the key if no other graphite based lube available
