Ignition cable snapped

Hi can anyone help!?

My ignition cable for my 2004 Freelander 1 has snapped. Is this an expensive repair or something that can be done at home easily?

If so can anyone give me some pointers on how to go about it.

it looks like the connector for the starter's solenoid exciter

That was my thought too. It's an easy home repair
