Hi,

I've been told that a 110 Hi Capacity IW canopy for a Defender will fit onto a 109" Series 1 without modification? Does anyone know if this is true?
Truck bed measures 1455mm x 1850mm inside capping to inside capping and 1545mm x 1940mm for outside to outside - if anyone has one they could measure that'd be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dalton

A hi cap is wider…but I think the length is correct.
Wait till Friday/Saturday & I will measure my rear tub width

I have shortened the length which is easy.

Sold the 107” Station Wagon last year, I’ve got a 109” LWB pick up now and hasn’t come with any form of canopy/canvas (need to update avatar). Ideally could do with a hardtop to keep tools/ dogs enclosed but also need it to be easily removeable for carting bigger items/ stacks of logs etc so I thought an Ifor Williams would be ideal.

Just spied your initial message - that’d be great if you could. How much of a pain are they to make narrower?
You would have to cut the arch ribs on the top. Then do 1 slice through the the roof & overlap the roof sheet. Pop rivit together
You would need to strengthen the ribs after.

it may be easier to add some wood/flat metal onto the back body to change dimensions ;)

@DPG213
Rear tub width
67 “
171 cm
Ifor roof width
69 3/4”
174cm

as you can see the roof does not sit on much. Mine is held on with 4 8mm bolts.
