L322 if it helps.. l405 wheels on an l322..long time coming

I hope all is well out there, this is the last if it helps.. for a bit as I'm now skint!
That's because I wanted some decent l405 wheels n tyres,
I had the option (a) a set of l405 5 triple spokes, usually on a sport
or option (b) a set of the 5 double spoke ( sorry i don't know their real names )
But after a talk with @kds we came to the same conclusion, the sport wheels look a little fussy on a full fat and not quite in keeping, so went with option b.
Here are some pictures, I love the look of my originals, 255 55 19s. Had they been 20s I wouldn't have changed them, these are the 19s on a sunny day.
The new ones photographed today was a rainy day, these have Pirelli Verde 255 55 20s.

that old spud car has been there a while, he has just sold on old landy thing,,it was green and had two doors,, on a q plate, god knows what it was, I'm not into those old green houses, but i know it had an oil leak.. Standard fitment.
my picture of what it looks like today , the thing was covered in grime just from a 3 mile jaunt

The wheels seem to soften the edges of the l322..
That dark colour is a magnet for dirt

if i could id have the silver l322, but if i were ever able to get a l405 id like dark blue , may be in about ten years when prices have come down

Metallic red for an l405 if I could. It's the tech and the plastics that put me off tbh....

Hi there Mark,
I remember that old northern philosopher..Clarksonias..from top gear..
And he said a thing about the other 4x4 Audi VW Porsche etc, they all seem to have car switches,
but the l322 could be driven and switched operated whilst wearing gloves..
I like the last offerings of l322 with the lcd dash, but I think the above principles are the same..
but l405 is that touch screen? Could you do the same?
I look at my wife's touch screen tablet even after it's been cleaned, and the dabs on it.. Imagine that in a rangy, my OCD would have a spaz attack

no way.. im keeping my old barge,
thats too much tech for me, im not that teccy so i could be trying to adjust something on that screen, confused, instead of concentrating on driving and looking at the road ahead..seems a bit dangerous to me
its very similar to my dads Peugeot 5008.. so new and switches and levers everywhere, even to turn up the fan or adjusted the ventilation isnt straight forward. he's 80 and doesn't need any more confusing

A good old Peugeot 205 1.7d or even the 1.9td.

i gave the car a wash today,but not polished it..
came out a bit better than the previous pictures that were covered in road dirt.

Mice job mate, you can come over and do mine with skills like that

hi there mark
i have in my cleaning inventory many many things, i always use a clay mit or clay bar it to remove all the high spots,
even after that the difference is dramatic, paint feels smooth,
then i use two grades of compound, on a machine polisher, always wet , it dont half make a mess but results really work well,
then once all that mess and polish residue is washed off i use simoniz colour enriched polish black in my case and that fills in the stone chips and small cracks,
must use disposable gloves its messy again, but it dries quick to a haze and once all previous steps are done it polishes off really easy by hand.
the first steps are a once only thing usually one of the first things i do when buying a different car unless i get a scratch that needs attention.
those pics i just put up were a wash and leather only..would take another two hours to do outside with polish ,but ran out of time..
the puppy needs me!
