Hi, Hope someone can shed some light here,
I have a 2009 Defender with a diesel Puma engine, on tick-over when cold the engine speed is irregular and sometimes stops which is a pain as I like to leave it on tick-over for about 10 minutes or so before I use it, then when I go back to it the engine has stopped and have to go through the process again. When the engine is warm it ticks over without any problems, any ideas?

where do you get your fuel? we religeously filled up at tesco in town as they were cheapest.

our owned since new 08 transit used to do this, lumpy , hunting, cutting out. we were on the verge of having IP and injectors tested.

when we filled up at a BP station.

about half way through the tank it started running sweet and idling sweet...

change filters and stop with the tesco fuel was our solution. it ran to do 200000 miles no issues after that.

Hi I don't buy fuel from supermarket fuel stations for that very reason but maybe it's worth changing the filters. Thanks for the advice
