Hi folks,
I'm under my bonnet for the first time coz I gotta replace snapped drive belt. My Landy is 1985 and I think was originally a 19J, but retrofitted with Defender (not Disco) 200TDi. That's what I'm told.

Reading the Hayne's workshop manual which covers both variations to see what is involved in changing the drive belt, and I'm a bit confused.

It looks like my engine arrangement is still the 19J way round, with alternator on the right (of the photo) and PAS pump below. I get impression from Haynes that an original 200TDi layout would have PAS and Alt other way round?

So my question is, which bits of my engine are the original (19J) way round, and which bits are 200TDi? When a TDi lump is retrofitted how much of the other gubbins is original vs. also retrofitted??

Thanks for any info. I have posted a few pics in case these help.

Should also say... the fan has been removed and replaced with electric. No cowl.

The drive belt snapped and is lost on the roadside somewhere. The other belt got inverted when it happened. I haven't touched anything yet - I only took photos.

Thanks craigyb. Good start to know it actually is a 200TDi.

So, does anyone recognise the layout of the alternator, PAS, etc. Is that an earlier layout (12J or 19J) or is it laid out like an original 200TDi?

I need to know which Haynes workshop instructions to follow and dunno which bits I should treat as 19J and which bits I should treat as 200TDi. It seems to be a mix of both!
