i hope in the not to distant future to replace the original radio/head unit and cd auto changer thats fitted in my 1994 lse with a sony system , i last did this on my last rangerover vogue se 1993 vintage and , if my memory serve`s me correctly it was far from straight forward as there were problems with the original wiring/speakers and associated bits , so if any of you guys out there could help me out here i would be very grateful

Hello Rick

I think these models have an external amp from the head unit & in my experience, these are best avoided if your going the aftermarket route.
Best thing to do is take your power source from the original head units, but run new speaker cables, bypassing the amp.
I have just fitted a new head unit in to my 92 vogue & the sound is much better, just need some new speaker next.
Cheers.

hi stuart thanks for your reply mate :) , i think your right from what i can remember (it is a few years back now) i seem to remember in line amps in the front doors , and a amp / splitter type silver box affair on the top of the bass box in the luggage compartment, i was hoping that someone may know of a way to do the job i.e fit the new head unit and auto changer and tap into the original speaker wiring , without the need to rewire them  .
many thanks for info though rick
