I want to rebuild my su carbs, where do i start?

My 3.5 rover v8 had twin su carbs one of them is not firing so i need to rebuild them both, where can i get a rebuild kit?, belive they are hif6's (correct me if im wrong) are they hard to rebuild?

is the place where most of the SU stuff ends up. I've had needles off them. Lots of the classic car places do rebuild/service kits too - minispares.com for example

Carbs should be HS6 or HIF44 (separate or combined float chambers) I think.

they're not hard to rebuild at all. What makes you think only one is working?

Coz it sounds like theres only 4 cyclinders working and theres no power, one starts leaking petrol out of its breather, whereas on gas it runs perfect

They have a bunch of new v8 stuff up for sale. Maybe a few of you guys could go in on some stuff,then split the lot

cheap , but having twin carbs is a pain, I am going for a single one and gas rather than more messing about.
