I have no dipped beam on my 1996 def

Last night my dipped beam failed .on both lights,the dim light facility works in centre position of the light stalk but on dip and main beam position all the lights go out including side..is it the light relay behind the fuse in the cab? the dipped beam fuses are ok as well as all internal cab fuses,,should i check the relays behind the fuses..or is it the 30 amp fuse under the bonnet... thanks simon... I have 1996 defender 300 tdi ,where can i down load circuit diagram for my defender on the internet for free?thanks

I've had a few similar problems with light failures, on one occasion it was the dim-dip relay which is easy enough to remove totally, but your problem sounds more like the master light switch.

If i recall, check the light stalk, the brown wire comes away, you will need a new switch

i am led to believe that one from a 1972 Cortina or a 2006 Astra will also fit

What's wrong with defender ones

i cannot get to a defender deal and need lights .
i just wanted something tempoary until i could
