I can idle .... but nothing else

Bought a project 110 TDI - Engine has not turned over for three years but visually in good condition. Got her started but she is only running at tick over - throttle is connected and working but clearly something is stuck inside the Fuel Injector Unit. Obviously, I would like to avoid taking it off and having it refurbished - does injector cleaner fluid have any chance of working or am I buggered ?

If youve done the filter & lift pump, checked all the pipes for leaks, id have a look at the boost
pin seized in the injector pump.

You could indeed be buggered!
How long have you left it idling for? a few hours might be worth a try as the fresh derv and the heat might free it up.

I've been bone-idle for years according to my wife.

I told her its because I'm old and definitely buggered.

I can idle .... but nothing else
