hi all not sure where to put this thread,
i have a J REG rangerover 4.0 auto with gas conversion (4 door)
I am very keen on a landy hybrid but looking to talk with people who have done or tried this and also if 4 door rangerover is good donor

many thanks

can get my hands on a series 3 lwb all bodywork good chassis is dead, Its a very big project for me and just trying to get as much info as poss,

building a hybrid is a big project for anyone, its the sort of thing that takes a lot of trial and error and a lot of time. it seems you have both the dodnor chassis and the donor body. if you have room/time/know how, then go for it. there are plenty of forums with knowlegable folk on out there and dont be afraid to ask. ive built a couple in my time and im currently trying to talk a mate into building another one. like i said earlir, the finished result is well worth it, but be prepared for a lot of highs and lows. ost of all dont let it own you, if you cant be bothered doing as bit then leave it until you can. a lot of folk will tell you to watch mark evans video, but personally i wouldnt bother, his video is aimed at making it look easy and he has an endless budget. he doesnt show you any of the pitfalls or any of the fiddly bits. remember to take loads of pics from the day you decide to satart to the day you actually finish, and most of all, good luck to yer ;)

heres a finished one that looks proper
