Freelander 1 HSE Harmon Kardon Subwoofer

Hello,

From searching I have seen that the Pyle PLPW6D 6.5” is a suitable replacement for the Subwoofer in the fish tank, I have been lucky and sourced the box the speaker goes in and now I just need some suitable screws to mount the box and a replacement speaker. Unfortunately I cannot find that speaker for sale anywhere (at a reasonable price anyway) and was wondering if anyone has an original for sale or can recommend another replacement I could use?

Would any 6.5” dual voice sub do the job?

If you look at options it only shows stock for Single Voice coils

I didn't check I must admit.

These subs go in and out of stock all the time.
Keep looking and there'll be back in stock at some point.

The D part number is for the duel coil. The pictures show 2 sets of connectors, so I'd say it's a duel coil speaker.

Hi all,

on the note of mounting the sub enclosure I have used wood screws, however I noticed two holes are larger than others, just wondering if standard screws went here or was there more to it?

Changed mine a couple of years ago with a Pyle (about £15.00. at the time) all the screws on mine are the same size. Perhaps yours is the result of a previous upgrade?
