Sport How to replace the Steering rack

hi all my RR sport (2012 L320 3.0 SDV6) was involved in an accident and the steering rack was smashed. We've removed wheels, front wing removed the lower arm (that was bent too) and steering rack has come out no problem at all

Can anyone tell me the clever way of getting the replacement rack in?

The car is in my driveway on axle stands.

Is it not a box and arm setup like the
P38? Sorry for my ignorance....

First remove the body.

then set fire to the rest only kidding

Think its a case of dropping the front sub frame, seenit mentioned on another forum.

wow.. a steering rack actually smashed.. can you post pics ??

Heard mention of raising the engine off it's mounts and undoing the arms to remove, ergo same for fitting.

Not helpful but, possibly like working on a mid 60's Alfa Romeo, "to change spark plugs......first, remova da hengine!"
