how to get a landy home?

hello there, i have been after a landy for a while now but im having trouble selling my car. however! i saw a 1994 defender 110 for sale cheap and asked if he would be intrested in a swap for my car, he said yes. bingo! but, the landy is in derry, ireland.. it has no tax or mot and is registred in ireland. it needs some welding for the mot but thats no problem..

can anyone think of the best way to get it back over here? i am only 20 so cant drive anything over 3.5ton (bastards!) my mate has a hi cap and has passed his trailer test and has a car trailer.. but would it cost a fortune in diesel??

dont ever try we buy any car they offered me £50 for me escort wich at present is valued at book price £350 and scrap value £200 theyre robbing bastards of u ask me

Oh I kno! They offered 300 quid for mine and it's worth more than that, a Mercedes 190e 1.8 on bike carbs with loads done headgasket and stuff.

I recon a swap for a 110 300tdi that needs work is a good deal tho.
