How to fit tailgate window regulato?

Anyone have a diagram or fitted a new tailgate window regulator? If so any help would be appreciated.

Hi Freelander 1 tailgate window regulator gone, looking on ebay etc has anyone ever taken one out and fitted new one, any advise helpful

have a look at the rewiring kits available like this one...comes with instructions as well

it is very straight forward to change it, any kits you might get should have instructions, but you have to be an enthusiast to repair cables etc, but yiu will save the pounds, do the search on here and all is explained, hint, it might be in faq

Have been having issues with tailgate window not dropping fully, but just enough to clear the lip of the frame and then open.
So today I took the door panel off and had a look at the mechanism. Well the aluminium window holding bracket was quite white with ali-rust, so cleaned that. Greased all the slides and wire too. However looking at the mechanism as it opens and closes the window on door release, there seemd to be too much flexing of winding motor bracket. Also there is a self adjustment spring and slide for the bowden cable, which seems to be at the fullest extent. Looks like a new window mechanism in needed soon

Have you checked the pressure of the glass on the seal? There are two screws at the bottom of the slides to do it. Rave says it should be compressed by only 1mm.

Saw those 2 and wondered about that. They looked solid enough though. Will try another time cheers
