How thick is the brass dovetail on the rear door closure?

It's the light coloured material. at the centre. It appears I was a bit abrupt with my request for information. my apologies.

No need for apologies, direct is fine, just could not work out where you meant, thanks for pic but looks. Different to mine are you talking about a rear safari door

That above is not the dovetail, just the latch The Dovetail is as in @catmans's pic above, that one is badly out of line and will not do the job of preventing door moving up and down when shut.
The brass tail is a cast shaped item that locates into the bent steel tapered U that is located on the cast bracket behind. It then has shims between it and tub to get correct adjustment.
Try and find the parts as recon not an easy thing to make.
 
In your second pic, it bolts onto the bracket under the door lock and when closed, engages into the fixture on the body. I believe they were fitted to support the door when a spare wheel was on the back.
by the way its a series 3 1982 swb.
A bit expensive for what they are but I have a few plates of brass knocking about and can braze them.
