how rare are 109 hicaps?

as the title says how rare are 109 hi caps and are the chassis different to a standard 109?

So far as I know the chassis is the same as a normal 109". They are not very common but they do come up on ebay every now and then. The rarest version was the Stage 1 V8 hi-cap, I think they only made 14.

Chassis is the same as far as I know, cab and tub obviously different. Theres only 16 or something like that still on the road so pretty rare!

if you get the opertunity to buy one jump at it, i have a series 3 hi cap rear bulkhead and i know of 1 hi cap series 3 in new cross london being used daily

There were two or three on ebay within the past couple of weeks. One has been up a few times, almost mint blue one, 2.25 engine, very high price tag.

I'm pretty sure the hicap tub will go on a standard chassis as someone fitted one to a 1-Ton series III easily enough, that was factory built with a standard tub as the 1-Ton predated the Hicaps.
