How much paint

I'm about to paint my series 3 landy marine blue, does anyone know which under coat to use, i've heard red oxide is the stuff to use but I just want to make sure.

Also, how much paint will I need for each coat

I was under the impression that red oxide would only be used for the steel bits , like the firewall/baulkhead and the chassis etc. Think you would need a aluminium etch prime for the body panels. Also keen to hear what amount of paint people have ended up using , want to repaint my shorty, in the original wildlife green , the paint is expensive to say the least!

I used a grey primer and maritime blue on my 109. I used about 2L of each. That was using a 6" roller and 1" brush.
