I picked up a replacement rear wing today, but its green not blue. How much paint do you reckon I need to re-spray it...I have a part used 400ml aerosol...should I buy more?

I resprayed a 1990 BMW 520i rear door & needed almost 3 cans of 400ml paint. 1 can for the inner shuts & 2 cans for the outer skin. Job is passable but not great mostly due to poor colour match & that's after running the polishing mop over it & the surrounding panels.

Reckon you will need 1 good tin of primer, 5 sheets of wet n dry fine to rough and at least two tins of paint to do the job and have a bit spare, please dont just spray staright on top of origional paint, also tack cloths.
Good luck.
Remember little and often ie thin coats let it dry thin coat/dry/thin coat/dry dont over apply you will avoid drips n runs preperation is the key, as dust free as possible, and wear a mask.:blabla:

right...so I need anything from just over half a tin to three tins...I think I'll order a couple of more tins to go with my part tin and see how it goes
