How much Oil does a P38 4.6 need when changing

Hi

Stupid question I know - but i need to service my car and can't find how much oil I need.

I will obviously check the dipstick but I need to know roughly how much to get from the shop in the first place.

5 litres will do.its a bit less i think.

Think you'll find its about 6 1/2 litres including filter

only know cause mine got some fresh about a month back,

5 litres only just gets on bottom of dipstick

As BoB says, 5 Lts will get you outa trouble. You could always buy 10 Lts so as to have an emergency supply on hand, which would be the sensible thing to do. Just never know when you'll need it.:welcome2:

on that i would go 10 litres as they do "breath" a bit.

Must be short dipstick, or you got short changed with the oil?

7 litres purcahsed. I do have the RAVE PDF but couldn't find it anywhere!
