P38A How long to?

Change rear air bags please? One leaking air, so plan to change both with new Dunlop ones. Fronts already changed over.

No more than an hour if you know what you are doing. But an afternoon should see it done even if top caps are seized. Don't let chassis down onto bags unless there is air in them.

Thanks for the prompt response Tony. It's actually in a garage on a ramp to be done as I had a heart attack recently. Is that an hour per side, or for both please?

In a garage on a ramp not much longer than an hour. Pins rusted in and top caps seized may add half an hour if the guy knows what he is about..

Its dead easy...... if you dont want to struggle with any of it just take the wheel off, pull out all the black plastic clips the hold the wheel arch liner in, pull out the wheel arch liner, and then the big clip top and bottom that hold the airbag to the chassis.... just look away when you release the collett from the air line that connects to the bag, incase it flys out at you.

Mine were a pain in the arse, as the clips in the top were seized..

That's my tool of choice. I would say an hour for both even if the caps are seized, unless those Voss connectors are on it. Pry bar and they pop out even if protesting.

Yup, the pins are usually rusted to fek so a pry bar just shears them.make sure you have the new onesbwith the bags.

By the way took my neighbour just over an hour to do both bags on mine, with me sat supervising. As said have new pins at the ready.

I remember it well...think I said I wouldn't take it as a challenge! "Just thought I'd had a particularly vicious angina attack until I measured BP at 226/117. Collapsed just as ambulance arrived. Stent in first thing Monday morning, home by 18:00hrs. Just amazing!
