How long to top coat after primer

How long can you wait after primer before having to top coat.

Got a day off to day and want to start priming stuff but won't have the topcoat until monday/tuesday. I live in the north of scotland - its cold and wet - not sure if that makes any difference.

Primer absorbs moisture in the air I believe.
I wouldn't leave it long this time of year unless you keep the parts in a warm dry place.
