How long have you left your landy languishing before becoming reinterested?

After driving down to Morroco in August and back via Millau altogether just over 4000 miles 4up in a defender 90 I parked her up and only this week got back in the saddle so to speak. A new battery was all that was required (and a day with all the windows down and some wet wipes for a mould covered steering wheel and gear stick), trip down to Devon the weekend and I'm hooked again. Anyone else left theirs parked or fallen out of love with it only to pick it up months later and rediscover it? Any stories of mammals or birds nesting in engine bays?

When I married my husband, he had an RR LSE stood for 2 years, now 11 years down the line, it's still stood up but at a different address, had at least 2 birds nests under the chassis, but also owned another LSE, so I guess we did enjoy it, me at the time being a new driver, I messed my pants cause of how fast and sensitive the throttle was! I only learned in a diesel fiesta.

I do it all the time with cars,

The series was off the road for a year with a dead back axle i couldn't work out how to fix, in that time i bought and used a D1 - different style of laning / off-roading but was good fun, the D1 then came to the end of it's life and i put the series back on the road.

I've done the same with my Spitfire - not driven it in over a year now, but, it's going into the garage on Wednesday for a full service, mot, general tidy up and i expect i'll use it a fair amount over the coming months.

I just need more space so i can have more vehicles, i like chopping and changing around what i drive and want more choice!

A day, maybe two at the most.....

I've not driven my series in a while, it'll be up for sale soon. I drive the defender daily

The disco has been under tarp for about a year. Looking for a 110, and then will finish the disco for the missus to use.

engine &gearbox swaped possible gearbox fault to correct . welded the chassis 2.5 years ago thats sound .lpg tanks still 1/2 full fine tuning and fettling before mot i hope .
knowing my luck something else will get in the way

110 a week maybe, but I've just dragged out of the shed a boat I built 15years ago!!
Dragged being the operative word, the launching trolley was last used in the sea in saudi then!! The wheel bearings are definately seized!!

I take it you'll not be testing it anywhere deep then? But if you are my Mrs has always wanted to go to the area of the Mariana trench.

Norfolk broads only, if you sink you stand on the hull and in most areas of the broads, you'll only get wet to the knees.
I did deep sea sailing many years ago, these days i like racing down river to the pub, have lunch and racing back. Much more civilised!!
