How is my Battery supposed to be secured???

Can anyone tell me??

The condition of the battery and whether it is fixed or not is not part of the MOT test. You cannot be failed for a loose battery.

No not required for MOT. What's more amazing is that you can be failed and be required to pay a retest fee for a blown bulb. The local Renault
dealer rang my daughter when her car was in for a warranty job and told her the OSR indicator bulb was slightly showing white in her clear lenses and also that one bulb of the three in her high level brake light had blown. They said that as the test was due the month after should they change them as it would fail if not. True of indicator but not true of brake light as only 50% of bulbs need to light. Thing is they wanted £43.00 for changing them. It took me all of five minutes at a total cost less than a pound to do the job.

I can't see how a lose battery can be safe!!

A dealer, trying to rip someone off??? Never!! Its why I don't user dealers now, either I do my work myself or use and indy.
