another curious question, can it be done? not only that but does the screen double as a TV too? how hard is it to do? does the becam have to be recoded too? is there even a wiring loom behind the plastic?

had a good old snoop around the forum and from what i gather is 1stly its fairly crap, landrover dont make new update disks anymore. besides i want a tv more than a sat nav. i have a great one. so what i think i might do is buy an old center sash part and a 12v screen and chop it and fit the screen in to it. then use my iphone as the device to play the media.

though has to be said the original screen does look the mutts nuts!!

Can't you fit one of those aftermarket single DIN type with the pop-out double din screen?

See I always used t buy the fold out screen for my cars but in the automatic one if you start th can in "p" it will hit the gear selector. What I think I might do is buy an ld center dash part cut out the cubby hole ( the part where the factory screen does go) and mount a screen to it and bond it. Then use my iPhone to run the media to it on a 3.5mm audio/video jack.

If I do it I will take pics as I do it. Now anyone go a center part of the dash for sale cheap?
