How does the td5 hazard switch work?

I've put a td5 bulkhead and dash into my 90. I used my existing loom and did modified it to work with the td5 clocks ect..


The only thing I haven't sorted is the hazard switch, I have left my existing one connected behind the dash and if I need it I can access it through the hole where my speaker was.

However id like to have use of the td5 switch, is it a matter of joining the same colour cables together from old switch to new or do I need to leave the old hazard switch in as the indicators run through it as well.

If the cables are the same colour, then it will probably work OK. The colours should be standardised for each function - purple for live feed etc. Having said that, it is a Land Rover......
