How do you thank someone...

I always struggle tbh to know what to do. ....if its on a quiet road and ots a male im afraid I don't feel safe enough to stop and throw in the fact that I am bleddin completely no use to man nor beast mechanicaly and ........always but always feel bad though.

Have stopped in the past for women and families ( waste of time but I did) and have pushed several broken down cars whilst beefy mensat in their car watching !!
