How can i make my V8 sound meaner?

Hi

I want the EFI V8 in my RR to sound meaner.

Im thinking of getting a K&N induction kit, and loosing a silencer for a
straight though bit of pipe.
Does anyone know of a supplier of such a bit of pipe?

Any other suggestions appriciated!

Keep the silencer but ram a bar down it a few times to make sure that all
baffles are destroyed.

If you want a throaty note, you best work on the exhaust system via the muffler.
K & N will only make your intake easier to breathe.A straight pipe will make
more noise but it will be at the expense of the exhaust system.

Fit a stainless sports system. Messing with exhausts will leave it sounding
like a growling gowley thing but it'll pull like a frog on ice.

Try NRP exhausts. I just installed one on my Disco S1 and now it sounds
like that Mustang in the movie "Bullitt".

Or you could do what the old motorbike hoons did - stick a broom handle
through the exhaust baffles. I seem to remember the local plod used to stop
them, insert their truncheons up the tail pipe, & if it went in, they were
nicked ....

Remove front silencer box and replace with the largest bore size cherry-bomb
available. Worked on my 110, 4.0 V8, a nice purposeful rumble without being
obtrusive.

Funny, our plod used to use the same technique for arresting shirt-lifters
in the 60s.
