Hoses

morning so many hoses out there would like to fit quality Rad & going to put orig air filter back so trunk & carb exstension what would folk recommend plus clips

The ribbed rubber hose from the air filter to the metal tube is obtainable but the metal tube fitting is largely unobtainable. Suggest you try to source one secondhand.

Got the Steel elbow refurbishing at moment it's what make hoses to use I'm interested in

You can now get silcone hoses made in matt black to like like period rubber hose. I think its a good solution as they seem to last well.

The original one is ribbed presumably to provide flexibility across the top of the engine.

Do you know who makes the series silicone ones? Can only find defender.

I doubt if there is much difference between the hoses for a Series 3 and the hoses for a 2.5 Petrol or NA Ninety. Or there are people who make them up if you supply the old ones. Local radiator place, fuel injection shop, or lots of stalls at the landrover shows all do it.

When I needed some special hoses I searched on e-bay, there are guys listing a lot of diameters / lengths and colours, elbows too.

1: none, 2 e-bay. I have an e-bay silcone hose on my engine air inlet as the rubber ones kept falling apart, its much better.
