Hi there folks, newbie here but now the very proud owner of my first ever Range Rover! I’m way up in the Northern Scottish Highlands. We bought a 1998 Range Rover 4.0 SE on Saturday (and it’s not rotten and has never been welded! Wow!) I do have a question that I hope you guys can answer though. There’s a leak on the passenger side rear axle, my OH thinks either the gasket or oil seal has gone. He’s pretty useful with vehicles so we are looking for the parts online, however all I can find is the oil seal, there doesn’t seem to be any gaskets (or kits with gaskets) Do any of you lovely folk know where we can get one or what the part no might be? Orrrrr do we just buy the oil seal and it comes with the gasket? Ta muchly

Welcome...ask in the RR section you'll get answers there here is introductions for you and car...

Welcome:)

Good luck with your new (to you) Range Rover it doesn’t take long to love them:)

You won’t find many “rotten” P38s small areas yes but on the whole the range is pretty rot free.

Enjoy:)
